Are you expecting a new addition to your family? Congratulations! Newborn photography is a wonderful way to capture those precious early moments of your baby's life. In this blog post, we'll be discussing the latest newborn poses that are popular among photographers.

One popular pose for newborn girls is the sleepy pose. This pose involves positioning the baby in a comfortable and relaxed manner, making them appear as if they are peacefully sleeping. It's a classic pose that showcases the innocence and beauty of your little one.

Another adorable pose is the parents pose. This involves both parents cradling their baby together, creating a heartwarming and intimate family portrait. It's a beautiful way to capture the love and bond between parents and their newborn.

For fathers who want to have their own special pose with their baby, the dad pose is perfect. It showcases the strength and protectiveness of a father’s love. In this pose, the father can hold the baby in his arms or cradle them against his chest, creating a heartwarming and tender image.

Similarly, the mom pose highlights the mother's nurturing and gentle nature. It can involve the mother holding the baby close or cradling them in her arms. The pose creates a sense of warmth and love between mother and child, capturing that special maternal bond.

If you're looking for something a bit more creative and unique, the bucket pose is a popular choice. This pose involves placing the baby inside a small bucket or basket, creating an adorable and cozy image. It's a cute and charming pose that adds a whimsical touch to your newborn photos.

Another popular pose that's gaining attention is the moon pose. It involves carefully positioning the baby on a crescent-shaped prop, creating a dreamy and ethereal image. It's a pose that adds a touch of magic to your newborn photos.

For a playful and cute pose, the potato pose with a bear is a great option. It involves wrapping the baby up tightly like a little potato and adding a plush bear next to them. It creates an adorable and cuddly image that is sure to melt your heart.

The froggy pose is a more advanced pose that requires skill and experience from the photographer. In this pose, the baby appears as if they are sitting in a frog-like position, with their hands supporting their head. It creates a whimsical and endearing image that showcases the baby's flexibility.

If you're looking for a more natural and comfortable pose, the curled up pose is a popular choice. It involves gently positioning the baby in a curled-up position, similar to how they were in the womb. It creates a sense of coziness and serenity in your newborn photos.

The nest pose is another stunning option that creates a delicate and enchanting image. It involves placing the baby inside a small nest prop, surrounded by soft, fluffy materials like blankets or feathers. It adds a touch of nature and simplicity to your newborn photos.

If you're looking for a more dynamic and playful pose, the swing pose is a great choice. It involves safely suspending the baby in a miniature swing prop, capturing their joy and happiness as they swing gently. It adds a sense of movement and fun to your newborn photos.

Lastly, you can never go wrong with a classic pose of your baby in a bucket or a newborn bed. These poses are timeless and simple, showcasing your baby's innocence and beauty.

Now that you're aware of the latest newborn poses, it's time to find a professional newborn photographer near you. Booking a newborn photographer early is essential to secure a spot, as they tend to have limited availability. It's recommended to book your newborn session in advance, ideally during your pregnancy. This ensures that you have ample time to prepare and coordinate with the photographer.

When scheduling your newborn photo shoot, it's best to do it within the first two weeks after your baby is born. During this time, the baby is still very sleepy and easier to pose. It's also important to consider your own recovery and comfort when choosing the timing.

To book a newborn photographer, simply search for a baby portrait studio near you. Look for photographers who specialize in newborn photography and have a portfolio that aligns with your desired style. Don't forget to read reviews and ask for recommendations from friends or family who have had their newborn photos taken.

So, if you're in downtown Hickory and looking to capture those precious moments of your newborn, consider booking a professional newborn photographer. They will guide you through the process, capture beautiful poses, and create stunning images that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Remember, booking a newborn photographer early ensures that you secure a spot and have a stress-free experience. So don't wait, start searching for a professional newborn photographer near you today!

Hello beautiful picture lovers! Today I have a real treat for you and it comes in the form of a 10 day old  baby named MS. M. Hold on to your socks – this lady is so cute she may blow them right off! It feels like only a few days ago I was photographing the Looney family photos. I can't believe it's already been ten months since that session. I remember when I first met Meshell her second child was just a few days old. The newborn went fast to sleep at the very end of the session and we were able to capture several more poses. Because our last photo shoot went so awesomely, I was delighted when they called me up to schedule photos with their adorable little baby M. Anyway, I am beyond honored that they asked me to work with them again and to photograph little baby M. As you can see from the photographs below, she is an ultra sweetheart and was a joy to work with. (Check it out for yourself!

Let's get straight to the good stuff! I recently had an awesome session with Via family ladies and their beautiful newborn, baby R. This session was special because I had a prop I have wanted to use again. And, it goes without saying, I was really excited to have such a sweet girl to try the prop out with. Baby R was radiating cuteness before, but the salon chair really brought the salon idea together. You can find the salon chair here Newborn Props. As you can see from the pictures, the color of the chair really helped bring out the soft tone of her skin.

Blog readers, today I have the distinct pleasure of introducing you to baby M, who's officially 4 weeks new!

I think we can all agree: His cheeks should earn him a spot on the cover of every baby magazine in the nation! Seriously, I'm practically melting from cuteness overload!

Anyway, as you can see from the pictures below, baby M and I had one of the best sessions together. I asked his mom, Shantee, How she prepared him for the session. Her preparation efforts allowed us to have an especially awesome shoot together. Shantee followed the newborn session tips we emailed to her and added a bath right at my arrival time.

Baby M slept most of the way through the session. And when he wasn't sleeping, baby M was described as calm. He couldn’t have been any better.

Without further adieu, baby M and his beautiful family.
