Imagine the softness of a newborn baby's delicate skin. The innocence in their eyes. The peacefulness of their tiny features. As a photographer, my job is to capture these precious moments and freeze them in time. And today, I want to share with you one of my favorite poses: the newborn baby bucket pose.

Have you ever seen a newborn baby snuggled up in a rustic bucket, surrounded by a fancy fabric cappuccino background? It's like something out of a fairytale. The way the baby curls up, feeling safe and secure. It's a pose that exudes warmth and comfort, reminding us of the coziness of our own childhood memories.

But this pose is not just about the bucket; it's about the styling. The little details that make this picture truly unforgettable. I recently had the opportunity to work with Hello Little Props, a company that specializes in creating beautifully crafted buckets for newborn photography. Using their rustic bucket and a fancy fabric cappuccino background, we were able to create a scene that was both timeless and magical.

And let's not forget about the outfit! When photographing newborn babies, every detail matters. That's why I always go the extra mile to ensure that my clients have access to the best outfits available. This particular shoot featured a custom outfit from No2 Willow Lane. The outfit was specifically designed for newborn baby boys, and it complemented the bucket pose perfectly. It added a touch of charm and personality to the scene, making it even more memorable.

But what truly sets this newborn bucket pose apart is the photographer behind the lens. As the best newborn photographer in Hickory, NC, I have made it my mission to bring my clients' visions to life. I believe that photography is not just about taking pretty pictures; it's about creating an experience, capturing a moment that will be cherished for a lifetime.

So if you're in the Hickory, Lincolnton, Vale, Shelby, Lenoir, Morganton, Statesville, Gastonia, or Denver area in NC, and you're looking for the best newborn photographer to make your newborn vision come true, look no further. I am here to turn your vision into a breathtaking work of art. Let's create something truly magical together. Reach out to me and let's start making memories that will last a lifetime.

Pregnancy is a roller coaster in every sense of the word – you’re constantly flying back and forth emotionally between pure joy and the stress of preparing for your little one, you feel tossed from one doctor’s appointment to the next, and of course, there’s nausea. In the midst of all this, especially if you’re expecting your first baby, you know you want custom newborn portraits but you aren’t sure where to begin.

Allow me to lend a hand. As a  newborn photographer with decades of experience, I’ve got you. Follow this guide to hiring a newborn photographer who will make your baby’s first portraits truly special.

What to Look for in a Newborn Photographer

There are a few top criteria to look for as you’re working on hiring a newborn photographer. First, make sure you hire someone with extensive experience in newborn photography – it should be one of their top specialties. Photographing newborns is very different than, say, photographing weddings, so they need the specific skills for the job.

Second, choose someone with expertise and training in newborn safety so you know they’ll protect your baby during each pose and portrait. Third, find a photographer who has a healthy inventory of products to use, like sets, backgrounds, and baby wraps and accessories.

Fourth and finally, choose someone whose style matches yours. Photography is an art form so it varies greatly from one artist to the next, so browse newborn portrait galleries to see whose style you love most.

When to Book a Newborn Photographer

When should you be booking a newborn photographer? Your photo session should ideally take place in the first two weeks after your baby’s birth. It’s a good idea to choose and contact your photographer months before your due date if possible so you can get on our books. Once your bundle of joy is born, call us to finalize the session date. Welcome back to the blog, dear readers! Today I’m sharing a preview of the newborn session I recently had with baby Georgia, who was welcomed into this big world on 4 weeks ago.. As you can imagine, Mom and Dad are equal parts exhausted and delirious with their sweet baby G and I feel so lucky to have been given the chance to be a (small!) part of their parenthood journey.Their main piece of advice to making sure all goes off without a hitch? Keep baby awake and feed baby upon arrival to studio So, so sweet!
