As I walked into the cozy studio in Hickory, NC, I couldn't help but feel the excitement in the air. The sweet scent of freshly baked cakes filled the room, and the soft, natural light streaming through the windows created a warm and inviting atmosphere. I knew that today was going to be special, as I was about to capture the adorable little Brooklyn in her very first cake smash session.

At just a few days old, Brooklyn was already a natural in front of the camera. Her bright eyes sparkled with curiosity, and her tiny fingers reached out to explore the world around her. As I snapped away, I couldn't help but marvel at how quickly time flies and how important it is to capture these precious moments before they slip away.

And then came the cake smash. Brooklyn's eyes widened in delight as she dug her little hands into the soft, colorful cake before her. The joy on her face was priceless, and I couldn't help but smile as I captured her laughter and happiness on film.

Hi again, everyone! Cake Smash Session time!I always do these portrait photos before the cake smash, this is a great way to get some clean photos of baby on a different backdrop and also helps to give you a lot of variety when you choose your images.I love when family wants to be added to the session. Deric was a huge fan of his cake! Who doesn't like cake right, you would be surprised. Either way, if baby doesn’t love their cake and it goes mostly untouched I simple put in back in the box for you to have later, theirs no use letting a good cake go to waste! Baby Deric really enjoyed the bath it, it was the perfect size for him and the little duckies are always a hit!The bath is brought out after baby has tried some cake, this is a great opportunity for baby to reset and try something new! I warm the bath water to make baby the most comfortable and always add a non slip mat on the bottom of the tub so they feel safe. As you can see, baby Deric  thoroughly enjoyed his smash the cake session. I know I'd have fun playing in cake! And that, my friends, brings us to his 1-year smash the cake photos. As you can see, Royal stole the show at her smash the cake session. Royal loved everything but being still LOL.  Makayla and I worked hard for these images, so worth don't you think?
